Is there a button to push some place where we can get to the bottom of a thread without having to scroll down? Some of these threads are quite long with excess narrative. It would be nice to be able to get to the bottom quicker . If I've missed something please advise.

At the bottom of each post it says "reply reply with quote print top bottom previous next"

if you click on "bottom" it will immediately take you to the bottom of the thread.

Then if you want to be back at the top again, just click on "top".

Yes, but, if you zoom to the bottom of the thread - you will miss reading all the great posts.

I guess I was assuming that you might have been on a few times before and already read the previous posts on a previous very productive session on the board, and were just "catching up" on what is new since that time. ;-)

Been there as long as I've been around.

Well, do you folks also know that you can fix mistakes in your own post? In your own personal post there is also an "edit" down at the very end of that same line. That is so that if you read your post later on and see that you have misspelled something, or said something flat-out wrong, unwise, or incredibly stupid (I do this from time to time), you can go in and correct it, or just delete it and hope no one read it in the meantime. :-)

to read last post first, use the 'sort' button located above first posting. Change 'ascending' to 'descending', click 'sort' button.

Hitting the "End" on your keyboard will instantly take you to the bottom of a post. The "Home" key will take you back to the top.

Thank you so much. I never knew that "bottom" button was there for that purpose. I will be using that all the time.

I went to the bottom of this thread quickly, but now the problem is I don't know what it's about..

That's what I have always done......

Another useful one is the space bar, which flips one full screen down. Good for quickly skimming.
