Hello everyone. My group has a trip coming up in a couple weeks. We are planning to pack heavy and set up on Brule or somewhere near the entry point and take lighter day trips with our fishing gear. Anyone have any tips or suggested lakes or routes to take? Thanks!

I was up there last week with my uncle Pete.
Well we forgot out TP but sure got into the walleyes!
We were having luck around both of the big islands 10-15 feet of water.
Yellow and orange jigs with leeches. Good luck young man!

Look at topographical maps and contour maps to get an idea of where the fish will be. Just pick out a series of spots to try out and hit them up at different times of the day and different depths. Trolling can be a decent way to find them too. Start shallower and work your way deeper, sometimes they are right on the bottom, but sometimes they are suspended over deeper water. They can have a tendency to stay at the same depth they were at earlier (ie. 20ft deep in 20fow) but just move out into deeper water (ie. 20ft deep in 40fow).

Just do your homework and get an idea of what they might be looking for. Once you figure out their depth then you can go from there.
