Help appreciated:
My husband and I have both done BWCA trips - as teenagers/early 20s. We are now in our mid-40s. He's willing to give the BWCA a try for a short trip - 2 nights. Hoping to talk him into three. We are in good shape and would like long/challenging portages. Hoping for tail end of August. Suggestions??

Welcome to the Board!
As you are looking at routes - Remember to check permit availability for your dates. The end of August things start to open up more than July.
Here are a couple of ideas -
1. Of the Echo Trail - Enter Mudro (#23) loop north to Fairy, Gun, Gull and Home. Swing south and exit South Hegman (#77) you will probably need to get a shuttle from exit to entry.
2. Enter East Bearskin (#64) north to Moon, Deer, Caribou, Little Caribou - then south to Pine, Canoe (past Johnson Falls) Alder and exit East Bearskin.

Missing Link entry, EP #51 - Snipe, Copper, Howl Swamp, Tuscarora, extend west or southwest if time, exit Missing Link from Tuscarora.
