Hi all
My brother in law and I will be heading to saw bill next Saturday. I haven't been in the area since Memorial Day. At that time the black fly were terrible. I am just curious how they are now? Just wondering what I need to expect
Thanks in advance
Mike

I haven't been up there recently, but on past trips during this time of the year they are typically gone by now but the skeeters are still thick.

Like he said (Quetico Mike)

We were on South and Duncan Lakes this past week. The black flies were biting a bit on Duncan, but we did not notice any on South. Mosquitoes were hungry by the latrines on both lakes. We chose elevated sites so the wind would keep them at bay a bit more. Honestly, I did not find them too terribly oppressive. And I am thankful that they were not all over me on the portages or hikes.
