Got 2 years and 3 months out of my Synmat 9 LW before the 2nd baffle let loose. Discovered when setting up camp last week in the Turtle Flambeau Flowage. I was able to make the best of it, however, as our tent pad was pitched slightly downhill and the plumper baffle helped to keep me level.
Contacted Exped w/photos and they're replacing it. Hopefully get the replacement before my next trip which is 1st weekend August. They know I need it back sooner and have an expedite note on my RMA.
Still the best sleep I've had on the ground in the woods.

quote Lotw: "pretty cool that they are replacing! I love my exped!"
I love mine too.
But I also got a thermarest as a wedding present in 1987. Cascade replaced it a few years ago when it finally died. Now that is good warrenty service...

Have slept over 400 nights on 4 different Expeds, never a single problem, all are still like new. Excellent customer service too. I highly recommend the Synmat 12: 2 lbs 8 oz (size MW) and 4.7" thick. Runner up would be the Synmat 7 3D: 2 lbs 1 oz (MW) and 2.8". I know some people think that's heavy, but for me it's worth the comfort. Even better, pair the Synmat 7 3D with the Helinox Cot One. Ultimate comfort.
