This a great car camping tent, in good used condition. We've decided to transition to a 2-tent setup for car camping, and a lean for backcountry trips.
It has been dried after every trip and stored properly.
Here are the specs provided by Kelty customer service:
Dimensions: 148” x 125” x 79”
Area: 100 ft 2
Vestibule: 27.9 ft 2
Minimum Weight (tent without stakes and guy ropes): 20 lb 6 oz
Packaged Weight: 21 lb 10 oz
Stuff Size: 12 x 30”
Features: free-standing, two doors, one vestibule, color-coded clip construction, clip/sleeve construction, ArcEdge construction, side-wall vents
Materials:
Four 14.5mm DAC DA17 aluminum poles
68D 190T polyester taffeta tent walls
1800mm PU nylon taffeta tent floor
75D 190T, 1800mm PU polyester taffeta rainfly
The good:
- Very strong, freestanding, 4-pole design (aluminum poles)
- Full coverage rainfly
- 100 square feet of interior floor space, plus 28 square foot front vestibule
- 6 and a half feet of standing room inside
The less-than-perfect:
- This tent is ~10 years old, is not in mint condition
- There's at least one pinhole in the screen fabric
- The poles' shock cord has lost some elasticity and could stand to be replaced
- The stake kit is a motley crew of various makes and models, in various degrees of "straight"
Tent comes with a "custom cut" footprint made from an old hardware store tarp. It's not real pretty but has bore the brunt of many sharp rocks over the years, saving the floor from damage. (not trying to instigate an innie-vs-outie debate here, just stating a fact...)
Asking $140 OBO, shipping may be possible but due to size and weight I’d much rather arrange a meetup. I’m located in the Brainerd, MN area but do a bit of travelling around the state for work.
I can send a few more photos from different angles, if interested.
