You may want to post this in the Quetico Afficianados forum to expand the number of folks to see your post with Q-experience. I've been to both but really only fished Cirrus with any diligence. It depends on what you are looking for in terms of species and when you are going. Lots of walleye possibilities, smallmouth and lakers to name a few.

I traveled through Quetico Lake and I like it more than I thought I would. Looks like big fish country to me but I also got the impression that significant outlays of time might be required to crack this big lake and its clear water. It kept screaming "huge pike" to me. I did not fish it however but merely passed through. Correction: we did fish it one evening......I caught a decent walleye and a few small pike which we had for dinner. My partner however caught a 42" pike on a small Berkley Frenzy which of course was released.
Cirrus is another story and that lake has considerably better overall angling potential due to the darker water IMO. I wish I had more time (I am going to be on the road much of july, August) you could send me a map and I could mark a few spots for you. FWIW I had limited success (as in nada, zip etc) trolling for walleye in the big arm nearest the portage to Quetico lake. I also didn't catch anything in the large channel between arms. But that was August.........the rest of the lake (northern 1/2) is where I would focus my efforts.
A rather nice campsite is located at the base of the large channel and the (for lack of a better term) fishless arm (although my source has "Lake trout" marked on my map directly to the left of the portage as you enter Cirrus) Base camp here and then have a weather radio and make the easy portage to Quetico lake on days when the wind stays down. Cirrus seems much more "canoe friendly". I suspect Quetico lake could get nasty rather easily.
