I am headed to the Gunflint Trail with my family August 12 - 19. I will be staying in a cabin on Poplar Lake. I have started several trips into the BWCA at Poplar, but never really did any fishing on Poplar itself. I expect I will have a chance to fish everyday and could possibly daytrip into the adjacent lakes if those have potential as well.

I will be doing a 6 day trip into the BWCA in September--headed to Alice, but this trip is more a gathering of family. Some of which prefer to sleep in a bed every night (unfortunately).

Any thoughts on fishing this area would be appreciated!
