Hello all, heading up early august to EP33.

Thanks everybody,

Never been in that area but all crappies like puddle jumpers!

I will be going into EP33 as well in early august starting the 5th, may see you up there. I plan on using some small spinners called Joes Flies weighted, let them sink to the bottom then steady retrieve, has worked well for me in the past. Otherwise I would use small jibs with twister tail grubs on or live leeches. Tight lines!

I've never targeted crappies on Gabbro but have picked them up trolling west of campsite 1710 near the exposed rocks. A friend has camped there and said they get them in May right from the campsite.

Good luck

Yes, there are (were) some crappies in Gabbro.
