This is also on the "Lost and Found" thread:
Just returned from my trip short one bag of camera gear. Missing somewhere between Lower Pauness and Lynx Lake. Lost on Friday, July 21st. We backtracked that entire area twice and have not found it. Small handbag-size bright-green bag. Have searched and left info with the Ely Chamber of Commerce, WELY Radio, and Ely Police. We outfitted through Canoe Country Outfitters and they are also aware and have been very helpful with attempts to retrieve it.
In case you found it and have it hoping to return it to the rightful owner--please reach out and thank you!

quote Pinetree: "Could call the USFS permit station and maybe people entering that entry point could be on the lookout."
I actually did stop there before leaving for home. According to the agent I spoke to, the Forest Service does not and will not get involved. As it was told to me, doing so would initiate " a seven year process for which the paperwork for us is not worth it".

Oops - you covered that. Sorry. I happened to be through part of that exiting EP14 on 6/25 and didn't see anything."
DUH! I got the date wrong in my OP! It was actually JULY 21st (OP now edited and corrected). I posted this the other day right when I returned home. I was tired and stressed out about the whole thing and didn't notice the error.
Thanks, Bill, for mentioning 6/25 to catch my attention on this and sorry to the rest of you for any confusion.
Thanks also to those who expressed concern and have wished me well in finding the stuff.

This isn't the latest news, I didn't invent this, just a good opportunity to hit it one more time. Every time I do a trip, I print a piece of paper with my name and mailing address. Then I photograph that piece of paper. That doesn't guarantee anything but it helps under the right conditions.
