This may have been posted before, but for us old farts reminders are a good thing.
On August 28 the price of the Senior Pass to the national parks will go from $10 to $80.
So all you kids 62 or over that don't already have one may want to look into it if you think this is something that would be a benefit for you.

Got mine in 2008, at the Yosemite eastern gate, on the way back from the Boundary Waters. I'd just hit my 62nd as I was exiting the BW. The wife finally got hers 3 weeks ago.

Keep them under lock and key, from what I understand if lost you have to buy a new one.

Just got mine. Does any one know if these passes give discounts for BWCA permits or forest service campgounds?

Mine is half price camping but you have to pay $4.00 electricity fee. Permits are half price if reserved ahead of time and that fee is refunded at the permit office when you pick it up
