So I'm watching wicked tuna , which i like they fish with very up scaled fishing equipment but it is a rod and reel, gear you or me will never use ;) except MT or he'll say so :) another wink MT.....but one guy said this.... about a community ,,, until a devastation event happens , you never realize how important this community is, i had these thoughts when kanoe passed , i miss you and WE miss you kanoes , we are a community +

We've lost a number of members besides Jan. And the same holds true to all of them. This has mostly brought many of us even closer. New blood is coming in and for the most part great people. Bwca.com is a good site, I hope will always be there for people. I really think canoeing brings people together. Some people have a bigger impact than others, but that's how we roll...

Totally agree. I don't post a ton but I enjoy reading what the other members have to say. I feel like I know a bunch of you but I have only actually met a few of you.

it's not just the support offered when someone dies, it's for anything: sickness, troubles in life, sharing something special that's happened even if not canoeing related. if i was ever to share something about my life it would be with this crowd. there is a lot of common sense floating through the members here and even some silliness, too!

My kids have been blessed with this website. They have been gifted good boots, paddles, pfds, clothes and more. With camping gear so expensive it has been a real blessing.

Agreed. And I just noticed that my icon shows me as a "past donor." I just rectified this omission today with a current donation to the site. If we want to keep a community that is valuable to us, it is good that we support it.
