Thanks for the report, Magic. I do vaguely remember that first bushwhack story, although not details.

looks like a nice trip! Thanks for sharing it. Have you been on Antoine before? We are going in there in September..

I have been on Antoine several times. Depending on which way you are going or coming from the Creek out of Ram is easier than the portage.

Can you tell me an easier way to get to the upper part of the Wawiag or Kawa Bay of Kawnipi without flying into Clay? That was the easy way. That bushwhack was easier than either of the Cache Lake portages. It was a 5 hour portage and would be a 3 hour with a little maintains and traffic.
