The show is 3 hours long and starts at 6 PM (eastern). I will be the first guest tonight at approximately 6:20 PM ( maybe a little later ). This radio show broadcasts more hours outdoor talk than any other radio station in the U.S.
Here are some of the other fisherman that have been on the show:
Jimmy Houston
Forrest L. Wood
Larry Nixon
Steve Quinn
Dion Hibdon
The "OC" originates on WONE-AM in Dayton, Ohio and streams nationwide. Its six (6) weekly hours of programming geared toward the hunter & fisher is the most of any radio outlet in the country. While catering to a regional audience, by having the top field reps from the ODNR on monthly, the show also features many national interests. It is the only radio show to interview every FLW Bass tour winner along with bow, gun, ammo & tackle manufacturers. While many shows give five minutes to interview a guest we often take an entire hour, allowing the listener time to delve into the expert information being provided. Jerry Kripp (host) formerly of ESPN-TV, has been bringing the outdoors to radio listeners for 21 years, 12 of those on WONE/WIZE. He also did time on TV for the "Sports of all Sorts" show on WCPO Channel 9 in Cincinnati for over a decade. Jerry's passions are hunting and fishing, which he has over 40 years experience in both. He hunts waterfowl, upland, dove, deer, and turkey. And enjoys fishing all species of freshwater fish.If he's not outdoors hunting or fishing, you can usually catch him on the golf course.

quote mastertangler: "Wow that's a real honor Mike. I should check it out but I will be flying.
And what a dandy fish! Especially for a mid sized river. Many would consider fish that size from that watershed a trophy. "
I will let you know if there is a podcast.
If any smallmouth, from the river I live on, get to 18 inches it would be considered a trophy.

I am doing another interview for the Outdoor Connection Radio Show tonight. They are recording the interview tonight and then putting it on air this Sunday morning. The only problem is that the interview will be played in the early morning, at 5AM and then replayed again at 6AM on Sunday. I asked about podcasts for the show and it doesn't seem to be available any longer for this program. So if you want to listen, you can use the link in the original post up above. ( These times are eastern if anyone is actually interested in getting up that early on a Sunday )

Bumstead: "I'll try and catch it QMike. Thanks for the post."
The producer never called me Thursday night for the recording. This is the first time that has ever happened. I was contacted via FB messenger and sent him back several messages with no response. I noticed he has not been on FB for 3 days as well, so I am thinking maybe he fell ill or something, who knows. So if they happen to contact me I will let you know, if not, I didn't want anybody getting up early to listen to the show if I am not on it.

Just received an email from the producer who said he slipped and fell in a parking lot on Thursday and that was the reason he did not contact me. He said there have not been any interviews conducted during his absence. He said maybe next week.

I will be on the Outdoor Connection radio show tomorrow morning at 5 AM (eastern) if anyone like to hear me talk about fishing in the Quetico and my local river, the Great Miami River. There is a link to the radio station in the original post at the top of this thread. Or if you are in the Dayton, Ohio area you can listen on 980 AM radio. The show will be re-aired on Thursday night at 11 PM (eastern).
