Saw it somewhere on this website. It's of a tree that fell from one island to a smaller island. If I remember right there was a hammock on the small island or trees that are perfect. Really neat photo! Ever since I saw it I've wanted to go there and walk across it and set up my hammock. Thanks

Once again you show us that you are a wise lady ;) ;) ;)
I found it in starwatcher's photo album. Title of the photo says it's on Moose Lake. Here is a link to the awesome photo.

Hopefully starwatcher will reply and tell you which campsite it is. Only one Moose Lake campsite has a review so I couldn't figure it out that way.

Thanks guys! I was hurrying off to an appointment this morning, and frankly, I didn't think to pull up Starwatcher's photo album! I just was sure that the photo was his. He is a friend of ours, we had dinner with him and his wife a few years ago in Duluth after one of our trips. But we have sort of lost touch recently.

Thanks Spartan2,
Yes, that was my photo, last day of our trip coming back out on Moose Lake. Jayson sleeping in the hammock; It was an annual photo choice. Sorry I've not been on BWCA site lately. It changed and I've been busy. Come up to see us sometime. In Ely last weekend and next on Shagawa Lake now. Our annual canoe trip scheduled mid October.
I also have the photo posted on National Geographic your shot.

Funny story about horseshoe island on Moose Lake. My friends were camped at that campsite once and had some novices portage thru the campsite from the other side of the island. They had canoed done the lake into the horseshoe and thought they were at the end of the lake, so they took an unnecessary portage right over the ridge thru the center of the island ?? Live and learn.
