Purchased this pack in 1995 or 1996. I thought I could use it to carry a hard plastic food box . . . and I could . . . but doing so caused some harsh damage to the bag after a while.

Anybody like bringing these bags back to life?

Recently dropped my #3 pack off at the Duluth Pack store to have the bag under the 3 buckles reinforced as they were starting to tear out. I was quoted $10/buckle and $10/shipping to return it to me. Very reasonable I thought. You may want to forward your pics to Duluth Pack to see what they think.

Thanks so much for responding and for the idea. I love canvas canoe bags and would normally try to repair/restore . . . . But this one is going to be someone else's project . . . Thanks.
