In June of 2018, I am heading in with 4 adults and 3 kids (all greenies) and am trying to cater the trip to include a few different activities to keep everyone busy. I'm not sure whether or not such a route exists, but I am looking for an area of the BWCA where we can base camp about 3-5 miles in, get in some good fishing and take a day trip one day to check out some pictographs. (Side note: the only pictographs I've viewed were up on LLC near the Tiger Bay area. IMO this would be too stressful of a trip for the kids as there are many portages and the distance may be just a bit much for them.) Does anyone know of a good entry point that would get us within 10 miles of some pictographs and would also put us in an area of good fishing?
