My wife and I are driving up tomorrow. We will be with another couple at Sawbill this Sunday through Thursday Morning. Site 35. If you're coming in or heading out, swing by and say hello. It would be nice to meet some of you and put some faces with screen names.

Wish I was up there... haven't visited Boundary Waters this year, nor Isle Royale.
You picked a fine area to revisit time after time. J

This visit will have probably been the last one for a while. I think I'm going to try to do some more hiking in the next couple of years while I can still do it. I haven't been to IR in 3 years now and I need to end that streak.

Weather was a little overcast and drizzly for the first 2 nights, then it was just beautiful. We had that entire end of the campground to ourselves from Monday afternoon until we left on Thursday.

Panorama off the dock at Sawbill.

Wonderful picture. That's one of my favorite places in the world; standing right there where you took the photo from.

I like that idea of focusing on hiking more while you're able. Maybe i'll do the same.
