Great list. You got me thinking... these aren't necessarily in order of preference.
1. Boating
2. Paddling
3. Walking
4. Seeing live music
5. Traveling - domestic and foreign
6. Planning the next trip
7. Eating great food
8. Hiking
9. Camping
10. Being adventurous
I could add fishing, but I don't get a chance to do that as much as I would like. I could also add working because I truly enjoy what I do, but I didn't think that was the intent of the question.

I don't have 10 activities anymore. I'm not really a "canoeist", I own canoes and paddle canoes because they can get you to some good places to camp. I like to camp. If I ever find a campsite that has college football I might not ever leave.

Awesome thread. Nice to hear about some of the "regulars'" interests. I really need to make it to a wingnight one of these years to put some faces to these names.
Anyway, here's a rough start, not thought about too much:
1) A sunset paddle with my wife
2) A sunset paddle, alone or with another, while casting topwaters for bass
3) Reading a good book
4) Getting it right in the classroom (I'm a teacher)
5) A morning sit in a deer stand
6) Fishing Mille Lacs Lake
7) Eating pizza
8) Shooting plastic bottles full of water with revolvers and lever guns
9) Watching the rod tip bend down after trolling for lake trout six hours w/out a bite
10) (Very recent development...will require adjustment of the others...) The upcoming birth of my first child, due in February.

Congrats on 10, my cyber-friend. Kids rock! They're like a rod bending while eating pizza AND shooting at plastic bottles on the shore at the same time. As a former teacher, I understand 4 too.
I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.

50 turkey, yogi? Wow! I used to live on a 2,000 acre farm in southwestern Wisconsin and the men would come and hunt. They'd all leave with a deer. Many would leave with no birds.
I'm enjoying this thread too. It's cool to see how fellow posters range. I read what others have written and I sometimes think, "I should have included that!" Like petting my dog. In fact, as I write/work, he's usually on my lap and he's my shadow, sun or clouds.

Wow, this is challenging: I too am going to put the God, family disclaimer that they come first.
As I get older they have changed, but here goes:
1. Catching a big Muskie on a figure 8 at boat side in Canada or any lake with no houses or no one else on the water but those in my boat or canoe.
2. Fishing from a canoe: Muskie, Lake Trout, Pike, Smallies are the top ranked ones
3. Fishing from a boat: Muskie, Smallies, Walleye are the top ranked ones there
4. A long canoe, camping/fishing adventure in a truly remote spot with buddies that are as crazy to go to those spots as I am.
5. A nap on the couch during a fall football game after mowing the lawn
6. Completing a complicated business negotiation or deal for a friend/friends, not related to my business
7. My daily walks/podcast sessions
8. Coaching or practicing sports with my kids; (they've grown up, and I miss those days, it would be #1 or #2 when they were young)
9. Phone calls with my long time friends
10. Hunting: Deer in Wisconsin, Elk in the Mountains, I love the peace and settling into the surroundings, noticing everything after the buzz of the rest of your life settles down, both around you and in your mind.
**disclaimer, these are subject to change at a moments notice, and may be as rigid as the shape of an Ameba.

It was my top ten activities for so long...
Being a grandpa
Paddling when I think I can.
Firefighter... I can still run the pumper.
First responder... wish some young blood would take my place.
My job...
Going around the lake and seeing what Joan has baked and while I'm there I try a bit of it with coffee.
Hiking the woods around home.
Building my house.
Entertaining friends that visit
Listening to my daughter for hours on the phone sometimes.
Wing nights

10. Being alive and healthy, with my dog.
10A. Letting my dog take me hunting for upland birds.
There is just something magical for me passing thru all that life has to offer with an all-in best friend that can do it all and adds a huge level of animation to all I do. And affection.

Kind of ironic how many mention family but SEX made nobody's top 10! Well, I'll go on record as being the first. Paddling? HEll NO! I hate paddling and canoes, but I love the fishing they bring me to, but I'd take the boat if they let me;)

Um sex is already a given. Where have you been?

Yep. Here are 11 in no particular order. I would say that the best times combine a few of these together. Which is the best part
Of canoe camping. Canoeing, camping, swimming, and good times with my wife, friends, and family.
Paddling
Sailing
Swimming
Playing squash
Playing trombone
Camping
Snorkeling
Hanging around with family
Hanging around with friends
Quiet times at home or the cabin with my wife and cats (only at home)
The good parts of my job (doing research) but not a lot of the rest.

Um well then so wouldn't everything else short of breathing also be a "given"? You haven't done it until you've done it in the B-dub with the water lapping at the shore, gulls mocking you from above, smell of pine in the breeze, sun searing your nakedness from above, and a forest ranger watching you through his binoculars or a den mama hollering to the shear amazement of her pack "Don't look girls!!!" Primal and exhilarating, don't get any better! LOL!

Thanks! I see a lot of range in many of the answers. It's great to see the many things we love and bring to our time in the wilderness. I can imagine learning a lot from everyone while moving across a lake or around the campfire at night.
