We're up in Ely and, in a few days, have to drop some stuff off in Angora, which is where 1 hits 53 north of Virginia. Any suggestions of good places to paddle for a few hours near there? Also thinking of heading up to International Falls. Don't have passports with us. Are there good things to do or places to paddle on the US side? Drop off time is midday so won't have time for a full day paddle, just a few hours.

Thanks for any ideas.
