I'm starting to look around for a small trailer that can haul two canoes and (hopefully) four bikes. I've looked at Malone, Remackel, Magneta, and a few others, but am getting a little overwhelmed by the options.

Any suggestions for my specific needs (2 canoes, 4 bikes)?

Either have it custom made or use a four place canoe trailer where one side has been retrofitted for bikes.

Did you check Yakima? They have trailers. Might not get all you have in mind on one.

Also Trailex makes some nice trailers. You might talk to them.

there are so many options out there! i'd give Remackel Trailers a call and speak with them in person about your needs. if you are near forest lake you might stop in and see them and their operation. they are a 2 man show and always full of great ideas.

Space Trailers

I am seriously thinking about building a trailer like one of these Space Trailers. I want something with sealed gear storage for gravel roads, and can haul two canoes. I called, and they will sell me a plastic cover for $250.

I like the suspension on the Yakama trailers. On most trailers these days they have cheap stiff leaf springs and the trailer bounces all over. If you watch the video of the Yakama trailer, it seems to ride very smooth with a light load.

Google it. There are a lot of info on pulling one canoe with a bike and I saw one pic of two kayaks with one bike. But unless you have a tandem bike and both want to solo canoe, one canoe per bike will probably be enough. Particularly cool are the setups where both the trailer and a folding bike go in the canoe to do down river trips and then bike back.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program. I have one of these: sportsrig.com . It might work for you because you can have two levels of rods. I like mine but don't have that feature. Also noticed that their longer bars are 66" which could be short for two tandem canoes.

Lots of good choices here. I think I would be tempted to go with a local company. Sportsrig was a day trip to pick up my trailer for me. Remackel does look like they make good stuff and could make you something custom to your needs.

Yeah that Sportsrig looks pretty close to what I had in mind, and yeah, I'm hoping for crossbars longer than 66". I'm definitely planning to talk to Remackel at some point.
