Am looking at a solo trip next spring, and am considering a short Burke/Sunday/Poacher loop. Anybody been to Poacher Lake in the past few years? How are the portages from Inlet Bay and Sunday Lake? Any campsite information on this loop you'd care to share?

Poacher lake is a great way to get instant solitude. The portage from basswood is long but flat. The portage crew maintains it. Out of poacher, you have a nice scenic creek paddle with one or two portages and maybe a lift over or two. My preferred entry heading towards Agnes.
