I know mosquitoes are an foundational element of food chains, but do ticks serve any purpose whatsoever? Lawdy, I hate them. I stay out of the woods in June because of them and wish moose could do the same.
I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.

Sometime in the later 80’ticks cut the Minnesota moose NE herd (BWCAW area) from approx. 6,000 to 3,000 in a single year. Some moose had over 100,000 ticks on them...don’t know who had the job of counting them :) It is a tough life!
