Hey everyone, starting a way too early plan for next years trip. This will be our 6th annual bw trip that all started when my friends and I graduated high school. So far we have done:
EP23 to Horse lake/Fourtown
EP16 to Agnes x2
EP28 to Thomas
EP84 to Bald Eagle
Looking for some suggestions for a trip around memorial day weekend for a basecamp. Something that is easy in and easy out would be preferred. Fishing is priority #1 and would need access to solid walleye, smallmouth, and pike fishing. Lake trout would be a bonus but not required. Right now we are looking at Meeds lake area but am open to suggestions. I appreciate any ideas!

+1 but memorial weekend get an early start or start mid week or at least a day early , knife lake is one of the best fisheries in the state. i've out fished people from camp while there out canoeing around , not every campsite is = ;)

I've had so so luck on knife but we have caught and released some very nice fish on it. It still is one one my favorite lakes.
A few other ideas:
Take a tow to somewhere on Basswood, great fishing, very few lake trout however.
Big Sag, Red Rock Lake, Alpine, Seagull. Fishing is good with trout in Big Sag and Seagull. Stay on Red Rock and you can easily get to Big Sag, Alpine, and Seagull to fish. If you want to you can get a tow to America Point to save time.
Go to Saganaga in Quetico good fishing and little less traffic, and you're in Canada eh'. But not a lot of trout and it is more expensive to go to Canada.
Also if you've had a owi it's hard to get into that country. To save time you can get a tow to Hook Island.
Go to Disappointment Lake. Good fishing, easy to get to, and couple points of interest if you go to Cattyman Falls and Jordan Lake. It is had to get a campsite on Disappointment however.
