I just bought my first canoe, but I don't really know what I own. 2010 15' 10" Kevlar Clipper Scout. Sure I went to the manufacturer's website before I bought it, but I was wondering if there are some others that own this canoe with some advice or information about what it does well and not so well. I've been out in it a few times now, but again, I'm VERY new to this, so I'm not sure how things should handle. Thank you in advance for your help.

You do not state the reason or purpose for which you bought the canoe. The canoe specs I looked up on suggests it would be a decent small lake canoe for fishing, or for rather short camping trips. It is unlikely to be fast although the manufacturer suggests it is very stable. It may work as a solo canoe if you can set it up to paddle from the bow seat in reverse. But overall, more info is needed on how you plan to use the canoe to really provide better advice. In any event, congrats on getting a canoe because it can open many doors. JG
