My Granite Gear Kitchen sink finally bit the dust after many, many years of use. Try as I might I could not find the leak. So I picked up another one from Camp Saver.

I like the size of this sink for a couple of reasons. Filled with water it is not so heavy as to be a bear to lift.

I also use it to hoist over my head to rinse after cleaning myself up. Works perfectly. Scoop a bag of water. Place acceptable distance from shore (I prefer shallow depressions to contain any soap). Then take a dip, walk to bag, clean up and rinse off.

I use a small mesh style bag to put dawn dish soap and scrungee in. I dislike sponge type dish washing tools as they harbor bacteria. I hook and loop the mesh bag around the handle of the sink and have never lost soap nor scrungee that way. The granite gear sink stays atop my Watershed Duffel and is strapped in place as per the compression straps which are already incorporated into the duffel. Sliding the handle of the sink through the compression strap insures it stays put. Whats nice about keeping it outside is it doesn't matter if I put it away wet.

All in all the Granite Gear kitchen sink has performed so well for so long that I couldn't imagine even thinking of replacing it with something else.

I have owned one for 4 years! Very nice product.
Need to have it more full than empty as it may fall over. That doesn't happen often, more seldom then anything.
The only other problem I have had with it, is wishing I had bought a 2nd one to help rinse the dishes (remote car camping with limited water).
On Sunday I added a 2nd one to my Campsaver order.

Well John I can't help but wonder if we both had an older model. Mine showed up today and it is wider and shallower than my original model. I am a bit disappointed as it seems to hold slightly less water. Will I get a good body rinse? Hopefully........indeed the older model was prone to tipping over if used on uneven ground but I really did like it. I will learn to like the new model.
