lake input

For your info if you want:
I know some of you fish the stream trout lakes in and close to the BWCA and lakes like Peanut,Miner etc. are listed with the potential to quit stocking it.

I know very few people if any will comment on these lakes. That is why it is all important if any of these lakes you fished and had a positive experience. Let them know, many times they have little info on how much fishing actually takes place and success.

I know recent years many of the brook trout lakes survival rate has been lower. One reason warmer summers and thus less suitable living habitat for trout. Also the MN DNR switched to what is called a Minnesota wild strain of brook Trout that does great in streams but statewide it has done horrible in lakes with very low survival rate.

Just thought some of you may have a little insight to share with the DNR fisheries.

They are a lot of lakes that Muskies aren't listed in. Don't dangle your toes and
ankles in a lot of lakes up north.

Yeah they should be stocking Nipigon strain brookies in these lakes. They live longer , are adapted to lakes and grow larger.
