Hello everyone darn near feel I may have to reintroduce myself. It has been a long time since I have been on the boards. I look forward to getting to know you all again.

My wife and I moved back to Minot ND about five years ago. I worked for UPS during that time and never really got behind a computer anymore, nor did my work afford me what I felt was an option to even think about the BWCA. I have since changed positions and a trip next summer is on top of the priority list.

Nice "seeing" you, o godfather of Wing Nite. I’m not sure you know, but sadly Jan (Kanoes) is no longer with us.

Yes I had Jan on my Facebook page. I don't know, maybe it has been a grieving process for me as well, and in part why I have stayed away a little. I took that news pretty hard, and I can't imagine I was the only one.

Feels weird to say welcome back because I'm also rarely here these days. But hopefully it feels to you like return to family - that's how I see it. I hope people understand and respect that sometimes life is just too crazy and lurking or even missing out is just what happens.

Anyway, glad you're here and congrats on the new position that will allow a trip!!

Welcome back. I know many took the passing of Jan pretty hard. Had something similar here where I live labor day weekend. Puts a guy in shock for a while. Jan lives on in many ways I think. We have continued the wing night thing since and yes Jan legacies come up often. It would be fun to see you again... So let us know when your travels bring you canoe Country way or even cities way. Wing nights happen pretty regular, I wish I was that regular... Haha. Minot? Hmmm. I come through now and again hauling canoes. Have to let you know so we can set up a wing night there. Haha.
