What the hell Cowdoc, do you have a picture of every possible point of interest in the BWCA all indexed and use recognition software to call them up? Geez. :)

Has anyone gone up and checked out that site? History of mining there? Will put up a lake later this morning.

No software. Internal hard drive. I recalled the spot and then went and found the picture.

I was impressed that you had a pic of that location Cowdoc.

There is evidence of mining and visible copper metal. We did not explore the hillside on foot. We were taking a break and making water before bushwacking south through Little Copper lake.

I was sitting in my canoe contemplating looking for the portage into Sora?? When I noticed that hill and what looked like old tailings. So I snapped a pic. I saw the green hues and thought it appropriate for Copper lake.
