OMG. The missing tongue is beyond creepy. Fleeing the tent into the Siberian night is also deeply creepy. Whatever killed them, they died in terror.

I have come across this before. There are a number of books on various theories as to what happened; yeti, aliens, mental illness, Soviet psychological experiments, pick your theory and enjoy reading about it.
