Hope you saw a doctor, Rx meds, and you're recovering by now. Killer flu this year.

Yeah, 3rd time Saturday. My apologies to the OP for twisting your thread, but PLEASE BE VIGILANT EVERYONE! Wash your hands, avoid crowds, get a hold of some disposable masks. I've been a nurse for 33 years and have NEVER seen anything like this flu and secondary illness before.

Great for you. There was some open water nearby this weekend but no channels for paddling yet. It's raining now and above freezing will dominate the week. I am hoping to get out next weekend. The itch has been strong.

Did you wear a wet suit? Dry suit? Nothing but a cheesehead hat?

Like your pic's. It's a unique time of year to paddle. Every time out, the ice and snow makes for something different to view. I was on Superior last Friday, south shore. Lots of "ice-like bergs" some ten feet thick grounded near shore. Some skim ice too- I tested a nice carbon paddle jabbing through skim ice and it failed. I had a beater wood paddle with too but decided to try the carbon.
