I never thought I'd be posting something like this but here goes.

We have several new songs we're doing at Canoecopia this year and one of them is "The Bear Barrel Polka" (long story). It's not a parody of the Beer Barrel Polka but an original tune.

Anyway, if you can play polka accordion (or know of someone who can) and are planning on being at Canoecopia, I'd love to see if you'd like to play at our presentations there (7:30 Friday, 3:30 Saturday and 2:30 Sunday). I'll even pay you!

Gentlemen, start your accordions!

The accordion is the tool of the Devil, and should be banned!! :)

I can play, but won't be at Canoecopia this year. Sorry.

Jerry, will you pay enough to cover the cost of my accordion, my accordion lessons, and my flight?

P.S. - Sorry about my wisecrack comment. Another clown isn't what you need, but collect a few more of us and you've got a circus.

Great, one more regret to add to that long list of things that I should have accomplished in my miserable existence. I guess brain surgeon now moves one notch lower down the list.

Molly, I think $150 would cover all that!

I just priced the airfare at $149, so that means...wow. Accordions really do get no respect.

Living in Kewaunee Wi the last 40+ years...there used to be a polka radio station WAUN up here. All the older dairy farmers had that station on in their barn and there are still polka bands that play in parades. Now with the megafarms and Mexican labor I can here their music in the parlor as they milk cows forever... The words are English but the tune is still the same.... that polka type music. Maybe you are going to start a new trend in paddling music jaystroke... :-)
