I just made "mock shrimp" outta rainbow. Chunked it up, egg wash, panko, served with cocktail sauce. Darn good. Thought I'd share.

did you filet the trout or just gill and gut it? Id like to try it. Ive not eaten trout all that much except just grilling it w/ lemon and butter.

very interesting twist ,sounds spectacular , i do love panko (progressor herb bread crumbs is darn good too), i do a mix with each of these+potato flakes+ small amount of flour and +seasonings , (for a general fish fry)

keep your line wet, good things will happen
