I'm thinking about buying an underwater camera for ice fishing. While researching these units I got to wondering if anyone has brought one along to the boundary waters? I figure they would work great for identifying bottom structure in lakes I'm not familiar with. Some of them like the Marcum Recon 5 or Aqua Vu Micro 5 aren't a whole lot bigger than a couple decks of cards, so they wouldn't add significant weight or bulk to a pack. Anyone ever tried one in canoe country? Anyone have pros/cons to either of the small models mentioned above?
