There's four maybe five nice camp sites on Clear Lake, mine was the middle one on the North side. (Nibi Mocs video has him camping on the NE site)
I went in from Farm Lake last September. The island site looks nice, but not sure about the tent sites. Caught one fat walleye and that was it for a day of exploration/fishing. Very pretty lake.

Nice trip and not long nor difficult. We found good walleye and northern fishing on Clear but better around the rapids south of there on the Kawishiwi Triangle (esp. near site #1131). Never camped on the island, only on the NE corner of the lake, site #1691. Lots of room on that one.

I did a solo trip through there in early May last year. Entered from S. Kawishiwi. It’s a nice part of the boundary waters with mature forests, and no blowdown or burn areas. It’s an easy paddle, and if you are so inclined, you can continue the circuit and complete the triangle. I stayed in the second campsite from the west on the north end of Clearlake. Big open spaces with a number of red pines, and some elevation giving nice views. I’ve attached a picture of the campsite. Be aware that the third site from the west was closed by the Forest Service when I was there (not sure why or if it has since been opened.) I did not have a chance to fish the lake, so can’t comment on that but looks like others have provided information.

ChicagoRed and I stayed on the island site opposite portage from South on our way out at Farm Lake access. Very nice site and fun island to explore.

We did this. As others said- easy paddle. Fun trip and clear is a nice lake. It was very busy when we were there over the 4th one yr. stayed on the island site by kawishiwi portage. Great spot. Lots of places to camp on the kawishiwi if you don't want to go all the way to clear.

Eskwagama was a neat lake too. I wish there were campsites on that lake. It looked like there used to be but they were closed down. We stayed there for a few days then went off to gabbro and bald eagle.
