I do not think the accuracy has suffered but the maps have improved along with the operating system by a bunch.
Have used the GPS 60's often and find the maps and operations are much better with the 62/64 series. Also they utilize the GOLNASS satellites as well as the US sat's (more sat's to average).

I can't seem to get any accuracy better than 30'. Drives me nuts.

I just turned on my 64st and was getting accuracy readings of 9 ft while still inside the house. GPS+GLONASS. Flipped between 9 and 10 on a short walk. Might read around 15-20 ft while I'm doing some planning while deep inside the house. Usually around 16 satellites that it's talking to.
Accuracy isn't the only upgrade you'll notice. Maps, like butthead said. Speed, both locking into a location and response times redrawing, is much improved. Even better than my "old" 62st.
