every see one of these?
I have been watching a anime on Chunchyroll about camping in Japan.
the backgrounds and gear at every real looking but the people are cartoonish.
so one of the bit of gear I found on the manga,story book of the anime,had
this tent which is new to me.

Grandkids have one, Amazon Play Tent
Seen many folding hoop tents over the years. Youtube hoop style tent
Neither concept is very sturdy.

I've used a version of the One Touch Tent in the pottom of your pics spiked out on the fireline for a couple years.
They are heavy, more suspectible to failure due to many more parts at the hinges,(2 hinges like you knee, on every side pole of the tent) not very water proof and a little stuffy, if remember.

I'm sure I could have gotten the Government to buy me another one but, but I declined.
I'd never buy one. Mine only lasted a couple years.
