We need to find an outfitter that can rent canoes right at the entry point because we can't trailer or roof rack canoes on this summers trip.

Any suggestions?

Bearskin, Clearwater, Rockwood, Tuscarora, Seagull, Voyageur. Some on the Ely side on Moose Lake. Lake One Outfitters (Kawishiwi Lodge), Sawbill.....there are some others ....

Rockwood is about as easy as it gets. They'll have your canoe waiting on the waters edge. Dump your gear in and paddle off to one of the 3 entry points on Poplar Lake (Lizz/Swamp, Meeds, Portage/Skipper).

Another option is pick whatever entry point you want and have an outfitter shuttle you and your gear to the EP.

seems they all have trailers and drop off/pick up at various ep's. I'd pick a few favorite outfitters and check with each of them as to arrangements. Prob a charge, as with shuttling, but might be worth it in your case.
Have a particular EP set up?
