Found these for what I think was a steal on eBay, $15.00. It's odd though, I can't seem to find anything online about them. The ebay ad listed them as "Chota Black Fly" boots. They have the same sole as the Quetico Trekkers, the bungee laces, but they are darker in color and the mesh on the outside sides comes down farther. Anyone seen these before?
"Well, sir, it's this rug I had. It really tied the room together."
Not unless they're a discontinued version - that was the part I found odd. The model number on the tongue is different than the Trekkers. They seem really nice, like ParkerMag observed the sole is light - fit is more like a high ankle tennis shoe.

It is quite likely that you have a discontinued item. You can search the Internet Archives Wayback Machine for old web pages that might show those boots. The Chota website (www.chotaoutdoorgear.com) has pages archived back to the year 2000. A bit of searching might turn up your mystery boots.
"Said one of these men, long past seventy years of age: 'I could carry, paddle, walk and sing with any man I ever saw. I have been twenty-four years a canoe man, and forty-one years in service; no portage was ever too long for me. Fifty songs could I sing. I have saved the lives of ten voyageurs. Have had twelve wives and six running dogs. I spent all my money in pleasure. Were I young again, I should spend my life the same way over. There is no life so happy as a voyageur's life!'"
