I know this might get me kicked off this sight for blasphemy but I just checked my Rei dividend and it looks like I've got $312 coming. That being said I can't think of anything new I need this year. Anyone looking at something special for your purchase?
BTW dividend is that large because I used my Rei card to payoff a gall bladder surgery until insurance paid off. Sometimes it does pay to get sick!

Available dividend: $679.64; ideas 0. But I am sure something will come up during the year. Who knows maybe I will buy a nice Yeti cooler. But the one I was looking at weighs 30 lbs empty and no wheels. I guess I will wait until they have their 20% off sale and see what is out there.

You know you can always cash out your dividends too. Although you have to wait till June or July. Otherwise buy sone big ticket items line tent, sleeping bag, packs.

$37.43 here, and that's definitely my largest ever by a long shot. I thank -- and blame -- all of the good folk here with their recommendations of gear that I had no idea I needed.

A whopping $6.80. Last year it was $3.00. I know that I enjoy spending my money at Rutabaga (Canoecopia) more than I do at REI. I guess the size of my dividend proves it.

We also have a hefty $500 coming, and like many others, we really don't need anything new right now. We have upgraded and lightened up a lot of our gear the last few years, and also outfitted the kids. Maybe a 4 season tent or larger tent for the occasional car camping??

Around $200, don’t really need anything but I am sure I won’t cash out.
I usually use mine to get my kids snow boots, jackets, pants,...I still wait for additional sales in their garage. My oldest just took up skiing so maybe I’ll use it for gear their too.
I am thinking of only using my REI card for REI purchases and getting a card that gives us points for hotels/flights. I’d like to do more of that with my wife, might help my gear habit too :)

A mere $330 for me. I’ve been slowly downsizing gear/stuff - trying to own less. So, I don’t want anything large. I want to get a Benchmade crooked river mini. REI only sells the full size right now - so I’m going to be patient and hope it hits their website at the same time the 20% off one item coupon.

My dividend typically comes with a 20% off one item coupon but, this year it did not. Doesn't REI know I don't pay full price for anything at their store?
I do have 2 Yeti coolers (Tundra 35 and 65). Both purchased with my last 2 REI dividends @ 20% off. Can't say how they compare to other in the "luxury cooler" class but compared to the cheap target coolers I replaced, the Yeti are fantastic.

Between store purchases & the CC I've got about $100. I recently learned I can convert airline miles to an REI gift card.

OCDAve - I'm with you on the discount coupon. That's the first thing that I noticed. I was looking at the dates that I needed to go shopping. However they do seem to have a 20% off sale more often these days. I'm going to wait for the next sale and buy a couple Ursack AllMiteys with my REI dividend. For anyone looking for Keen Newport H20's, they have most sizes and several colors available on the used site www.rei.com/used. There were a few other good used deals over the weekend.
With the dividends on my Costco Visa card and my American Express I'm buying a canoe and a Dyson vacuum cleaner. I use them for business travel so I rack up the $. With both of them I get actual cash.

My dividend was $703. I bought a kayak with it paying the $200 difference. A week later it went on sale so I printed out the REI pricing policy and went back to the store with my receipt. I was refunded another $113.
Can’t complain.

I mainly use Rei Webpage now a days. Their stores are usually packed with peopleand out of everything except for Patagonia city gear. Their Facebook page has gotten very political lately. So I turned that off for now. But I do love the dividends every year.
