Does anyone know if the norway trail connects to any of the campsites on the north arm of trout lake?

No, it doesn't. Kinda makes one wonder what good the trail is, right? That being said, I have hiked into the north arm and camped on site 253. My plan was to bushwhack to #252 but that was taken. This is where I lucked out. Once I had reached the waters edge and saw that 252 was taken I looked down to see a narrow sand beach going to the east and south as far as I could see (this was in the fall). I followed it most of the way to site 253. Where it ended, I spotted a moose trail heading straight toward the 252 site and followed that most all the way to the site. It couldn't have worked out better. The 253 site was open, probably because it wouldn't be a favored bay for motor fisherman.
BTW, you can drive a high(er) clearance vehicle to within about 2.5 miles of the north arm and catch the trail from there.
