i want to start off by thanking you all for the information you share on this site. it is very helpful. i am doing a BWCA trip the end of july. i am leaving out of moose lake. what would be a good rout to take for a first timer?

What do you want to do? Lots of paddling, fishing, other features that are important to you? Lots of options from there

Give us an idea of what your idea of a trip looks like. Do you want to base camp, move every day, tow boats, age or group members, ability of group members etc.

What are your groups goals in this trip? Fishing, sight seeing, relaxing, swimming, etc.

How many days will your group be out? Do you want any layover days to rest?
