I am going to do a quick walleye fishing trip to Perent this summer. I have been there a few times but not in about 10 years. Just curious whether it is still a slam dunk for eater sized walleyes. A lot can change in 10 years. Any intel is appreciated.

Perent via Hog Creek is still chuck full of eater walleyes so don't worry about that! They love orange bucktails for what it's worth. I see references to there being smallies in there from time to time and the truth is they are NOT in "that" Perent, so don't bother trying for them if you had a mind to. Lastly, Perent has a few really big pike if you're into that, but NOTHING like it was in the 80's and earlier.

I've been to Perent a handful of times and once over Memorial weekend and didn't ever have a problem finding a site and I usually prefer the island sites which are more sought after it seems.
As for the fish, yep they're there. We've had the more luck trolling than casting or jigging. :)
