NCTRY,

We haven’t met but you’re pretty famous on here.

Did I see you on HWY 65 in McGregor today? Looked like your rig you haul canoes around with. There was even 1 canoe on there.

Don’t see many celebrities around here :)

Oh geez.... Celebrity.... Hahahaha!

But yes that was me. I was flying down to my son and daughter in law at Cambridge hospital. They lost their second baby in less than a year. First one twenty weeks along, this one twenty one weeks along. Causes of trouble were totally unrelated. The doctors are a little baffled, but assure them there is little chance of this happening again.

So I was not in a good state of mind. I kept wanting to just go... So I passed someone just because I did not want to ride their bumper. Their was concern for my daughter in law also, but by the time I got there, she'd lost the baby and they got her issues taken care of. They treat her pretty well as she is a nurse there.

So sorry about your grandchild, Ben, and hope your daughter-in-law will be OK. Thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Jeff, Lynda, Lawrence and everyone. I was so looking forward to having a grandson close by. My son and his wife would be the perfect parents. I feel real bad for them. At 21 weeks the baby is pretty well developed... He looked so perfect. I can't believe they have hats and gowns so small.

Ben and Riverrunner, so sorry for both of your families' sorrow. Such events are among the hardest things to face.

We have friends who lost multiple babies, their first were twins who died just after a premature birth, the others during pregnancy, and who were finally able to have their two sons. We have seen both the extreme sorrow, difficult journey, and joy they have gone through. I hope there are better times ahead for everyone but know that may be hard to imagine now.

Thanks andym... Been through it back in our child rearing days too. Only not so far along. And it's way more common than I'd ever realized. But Lisa has one sister and between the two of them they are batting zero. Five or six between them.

Ben, I'm so sorry. That has to be heart wrenching. My sincere condolences go out to you and your family.

I'm sure you probably already know this, but have her check for factor v leiden. It's a little know mutation but is a common reason for miscarriages.
