You could bring a bike, drop your partner & gear off at the EP & then park the truck at the exit, bike back to the start. Hide it somewhere in the woods or chain it to a tree. Probably an easy hour bike ride versus a 3 hour hike.

Teenda: "The entry points are approximately 8 to 8.5 miles apart on the Echo Trail"
Yes, according to google earth, just about 8 miles. I did it one time from Moose River to Little Indian Sioux. It's a pretty easy jog/walk other than the distance. You may get a ride - I did the last 2 miles - but I wouldn't count on it since LISN is the last entry out there and not many people out that way otherwise.

I gave a guy a ride to LIS once. We exited at the same time, so I gave him a ride to his vehicle . Wasn't going that way (was going to Ely), but I did it for good karma. May need some of that some day.

I think you should stash a bike 50 yards from the road at the exit.
A ride back to the car would be a breeze, and add to the adventure.
8 miles would be less than an hour on a bike, and biking is a great way to travel the Echo Trail. Cool road. Nice and shady, pretty flat, lots of places to rest and relax, and VERY LITTLE traffic. Ride on!

My wife did exactly that last year, but different EP’s. She went from EP 16-EP 19 on a mountain bike I picked up on Craigslist for free the week before our trip. That was about 7 miles. We stashed it in the woods, it worked out nicely.

I have also run back and forth between entry points on the Echo Point. However, after a week of portaging my legs felt like stumps and the runs were not very pleasurable.
And I have also hitchhiked a couple of times. Most people seemed willing to give me a ride. Including the woman who said she had not showered in more than a week and then propositioned me. But that is another story.....................
