Thinking of pulling the trigger on the MSR Elixir 4 tent this morning for our party of 3 tripping for a week this year. On sale in REI garage for $299, includes footprint, and have a 20% off coupon so actual cost is $260, which seems reasonable.
Anybody have any reviews or comments?
Thanks MSR Elixir 4

I have an Elixir 2 and my brother purchased an Elixir 3 shortly after I purchased mine. They are fairly easy to set up, made of high quality materials, and feel a lot bigger inside than the dimensions indicate due to lots of overhead space. The included footprint is a big plus. I also have an REI Half Dome 4 and much prefer the design and build quality of the Elixir. The Elixir does seem a tad bit more difficult to set up due to the tension of the two main poles, and will take a few practice runs to get used to.
I got caught in a downpour the first night I used my Elixir 2 on Shell Lake. There was so much standing water around the tent I had to scratch out a little channel to get it to flow away. A stupid place to set up on my end, but everything stayed nice and dry in the tent - I was impressed.
I paid $105 for my Elixir 2 and my brother paid $135 for the Elixir 3, but that was during the Gander Mountain closeout last spring.

Izzy has a 2 person Elixir, I set it up with him a few times. straight walls at the doors, simple setup 2 poles overlapping and a spreader, all clips. His is color coded side to side. Feels stable and strong. Very good materials and build. Only downside I could think of is weight, a bit on the heavy side due to heavier fabrics used.
