How many of you change out trebles on spoons for Siwash hooks? Of those that use Siwash replacement hooks do you think it affects your hook up rate vs. trebles?

I've done it, and haven't noticed any difference in hook-ups. My secret weapon, though, is to put a wide gap hook with a texas rigged worm on a spoon instead of the treble. Weedless and looks like a snake!

Limited experience but last summer I changed out several lures with Trokar Siwash with good results on Isle Royale. Impressive hook for sure. Kerry, who posts occasionally, changed out his hooks on his Sutton Spoons with the Trokars and gets the hat tip.

I do that with Krocodile spoons. A siwash hook comes with it. Though sharp out of the box, I do sharpen it a bit more and frankly file it down a bit. It’s a robust hook. I have not noticed a difference in hook ups.
