drrick your not getting any love? Whats up with that?
I like the Pearl that you are considering. Less happy with the pearl and blue.......... but lots of guys do well with a little cleo in that color.
I am partial to natural colors in canoe country but I do like to have the occasional bait which might have a "pop" of color. Like say a natural perch with a chartreuse paddle tail or a natural color which has an orange belly.
Kind of hard to miss with the pearl though (which I like better than straight white).
Have you checked out Savage Gear swimbaits? Pretty cool........I like the incorporated weight. Northland makes similar styles.
Savage Gear Swimbaits A thought about your connection with swimbaits...........if you can tie them off via a small clip or a loop knot you will get a better "roll" with the bait. Of course the paddle tail will always be working but what makes a swimbait especially seductive is if you can get a rocking or side to side motion with its entire body. That rocking motion is caused by reacting to the paddle tail. (As the paddle tail kicks in one direction it will push the body of the lure to the opposite side etc. etc.) Tying directly to bait tends to help stifle that back and forth motion. If you fish line 10 lb and under you could use a med fas snap..........heavier line you could use a lg size fas snap. Very discreet and still allows for freedom. 20lb fluorocarbon and you could use a perfection loop knot but be advised that any loop knot will sacrifice some line strength.
Check out this video and you will get an idea of the "roll" of which I am talking about. Also note I think the pro savage gear fisherman has tied a loop knot. Not a fan of them except in heavier Lb line classes.
