Any recommendations for a cheap single night of lodging at Crane Lake before a canoe trip? Thanks for any suggestions.

I always stay in Orr at Norman’s Motel. Nice clean inexpensive motel. Descent restaurant close by for breakfast. Norman’s also has bait and other last minute things you might need. Also a nice grocery store there. Crane Lake is not far.

Pine Ridge motel is right across from Anderson's Outfitters. I've used both establishments and recommend both. The motel room was very clean and the owner very accommodating. Your a couple miles from the start of the Echo Trail, Vermilion River Gorge and a mile from Crane Lake. Anderson's offers a great tow service clear to bottle portage if interested in that. I really love the West end and Crane Lake.

I’ve stayed at Voyageur Landing the night before a tow from Anderson’s or Rocket Randy a few times and have been very happy.

Voyagaire Lodge has some nice sized rooms, have stayed there a few times a year for the past couple of years. The lodge was built just a few years ago so it’s pretty nice. Right on the water and has a real good restaurant and bar, huge patio on the lake, great place to take in a meal and drink.

+1 We stayed here before our week long Houseboat adventure up on Crane/Sandpoint/Namakan lakes. Awesome rooms. Awesome bar/restaurant.

Pine ridge is great! Like they said right across from Anderson's.
