Hi All,

Considering a trip this fall basecamping on the east end of Brule or Vernon or Swan. Specially looking to see if anyone has fished Swan. The most recent fisheries survey suggests that it would be a decent walleye lake and also contains some lakers. We would mostly be targeting walleye. Also, if you have any intel on Vernon that would be awesome too. Thanks!

East side of Brule in the Narrows near the campsite I caught a good number of Walleye in the evening(2- 20"+). Caught Small Mouth in the bay heading to Vernon Portage. On Vernon I caught several small Mouth in the moving water by the campsite just off the portage. Cool trip up the small stream to the Vernon falls. That campsite is awesome to stay at with the built in wading pool. I caught several northern in the bay across from that campsite. I ran into a few guys who claimed they caught walleye in the lake, but I had no luck with them. Sorry I do not know anything about swan.

Indeed - that is a fantastic campsite on Vernon. The Brule-Vernon portage is short but still rather challenging.

Only caught one smallmouth on Vernon - felt like we should have done better there.
